Brainerd Lakes Area Fishing Report, March 16, 2014

Posted on: March 17th, 2014 by Brainerd Lakes Chamber

Most people like to go south for spring break. Not me. I don’t want to miss out on this great late ice fishing. And even though the snow has just begun to melt and we have more than 3 feet of ice, the bite is on.

I have found panfish, tulibees and perch that are all putting on the feed bags. Last weekend the only thing you could complain about was a little bit of sunburn.

I know it has been a long winter but make the most out of our late-ice because next fall you know you will be chomping at the bit to get back out ice fishing. And I know it has been a long time since you have heard this but, don’t forget the sunscreen.
