Fishing Report – 8/3/15

We have been fishing Gull, North Long, and Whitefish lately. All have had their days but North Long and Whitefish seem to be a little more consistent. Both are putting out walleyes anywhere from 8 – 18 feet of water depending on the day and conditions. A jig and minnow, leech under a float, or pulling a spinner rig are all producing fish. If there is no wind pull a spinner to cover water and find fish then fish the area slower with a jig or rig. The key is cover water until you locate fish on a spinner or on your electronics. The bass bite has been good on all of the lakes. A jig worm (I like a Berkley 7 inch Powerworm) setup is my go to bait over the weed beds or on the outside edge. Mid lake structure with weeds is a good place to start looking. Check us out at www.walleyedan.com or call 218-839-5598 to book a trip!

Good Luck,

Nick Miltimore
