The fishing has been fair to slow on Gull (during the times I have been out) and I have not heard a lot of rip-roaring reports. Brainerd Lakes Area Fishing Report 12/20/14

The cooler than normal conditions earlier this month were good for making ice. There is currently 10 to 12 inches of ice on most of the smaller lakes and 4 to 7 inches on the larger lakes throughout the area. The walleye bite continues in the Brainerd area. Our primary focus has been on Gull Lake but Whitefish and North Long are putting out fish as well. Most of the mid summer spots with the good weed edges are putting out fish. This week we found our active fish in 14-19 feet of water. The read more
