Jenkins is considered the gateway to the Whitefish chain of lakes -- one of the favorite summer home and resort locations in the area. Jenkins is located 30 minutes north of Brainerd/Baxter, along Highway 371. The Paul Bunyan Trail also passes through this friendly community, which celebrated its centennial in 2004.

Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber is the voice of business in the region. The Chamber advocates for business, markets the region, and provides programs to help businesses succeed. The Brainerd Lakes Area Chambers of Commerce has four locations in the lakes area: the administrative office is located in Brainerd, and Welcome Centers are located at the rest area 8 miles south of Baxter’s Hwy 210 and 371 intersection; at the Trailside building in Pequot Lakes, and across from the Crosslake Dam.
