Staples and Motley are adjoining communities that grace the western edge of the Brainerd Lakes Area along Highway 210 west. The Crow Wing River winds through Motley and is popular spot for canoeing or tubing. Lakes, hardwood and forests amidst rolling hills converge with fertile agricultural land to the west.
