Let’s Go Fishing "Let’s Go Fishing" is a non-profit group devoted to its mission of enriching the lives of individuals 55 and older through free fishing and boating activities that strengthen communities, build relationships, and create memories. "Let's Go Fishing with Seniors" was founded in 2002 in Willmar, MN with the Brainerd Chapter being a new edition in 2010. Outings are scheduled weekly and each excursion is approximately one to three hours. There is no cost to participants except for a current fishing license (if applicable). All equipment is provided - everything from the necessary equipment to refreshments and fishing guides.
Minnesota Fishing Hall of Fame The Minnesota Fishing Hall of Fame is located within Gander Mountain in Baxter. Numerous legendary anglers hail from the Gopher State and the detailed, informative displays located within the hall of fame are dedicated to showcasing their great accomplishments over the years. Al Lindner, Gary Roach, Al Maas, and other famous Minnesota fishermen have all made their mark, and each one of these exceptional anglers have their own area within the Hall of Fame to honor their achievements. Informative DVD's of each angler describe their personal histories and contributions to the fishing world.
