If you’re celebrating America’s Independence in the Brainerd Lakes Area, you’ll find lots to do. Many communities have events for you to don your red, white, and blue. You’ll also have many places to “Ohhhh and Ahhh” as the fireworks boom and pop filling the twilight sky with vibrant colors.

 

 

Brainerd Events

June 30

ARTS IN THE PARK
Arts in the Park
kicks off the 4th of July week on Sunday at Gregory Park. You’ll find food vendors, art displays, and entertainment.

July 4

4TH OF JULY PARADE
The 4th of July Parade is near downtown Brainerd on July 4 at 4:00 p.m. It starts near Kiwanis Park, travels north on East River Road, to Laurel Street, South 5th Street, and then heads south to College Drive.

  • Live Entertainment: Hang out after the parade for live music from 5:30 to 10 p.m.—ending just before the fireworks!
  • Fireworks: Watch the fireworks over Don Adamson Field starting at 10:15 p.m. Tune in to B93.3 as they’re synchronized to music.

FIREWORKS ON GULL LAKE
Madden’s
and Cragun’s Resorts on Gull Lake partner to provide fireworks on Gull Lake starting at 10:30 p.m. You can watch from the East Gull Lake airport or watch by boat on the south end of Gull Lake.

July 5–7

PLEASURELAND RV SHOW & GO
A tradition for 33 years, Brainerd International Raceway hosts the PleasureLand RV Show & Go, which features muscle car series drag racing, road racing, fireworks, live music, and a classic car show.

 

 

Crosslake Events

July 6

49TH ANNUAL FIREWORKS DISPLAY
Join us on the water or from the shores of Cross Lake to watch the 49th Annual Fireworks Display launched from Sand Island at dusk (around 10:30 p.m.). Tune in to B93.3 for a choreographed display!

 

 

Cuyuna Area Events

July 4

4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION
Head to Crosby for a 4th of July Celebration with a kiddie parade starting at 11:00 a.m. You’ll also find a parade in the sister city of Ironton, which also starts at 11:00 a.m. After the parades, you’ll find Crosby Memorial Park hoppin’ with food vendors, live music, and a beer garden. Watch the fireworks show at dusk over beautiful Serpent Lake.

FIREWORKS AT RUTTGER’S BAY LAKE LODGE
Ruttger’s Bay Lake Lodge
hosts a fireworks display that’s open to the public. Enjoy a meal on the patio, live entertainment, and watch the fireworks from the shores of Bay Lake (at dusk).

 

 

Nisswa Events

July 3

FREEDOM DAYS CELEBRATION & PARADE
Come to downtown Nisswa to celebrate Freedom Days with activities starting at 12:00 p.m. Activities include paint your own pottery, water wars, turtle races, and parade. Parade begins at 7:00 p.m. Enjoy live music before and after the parade, too!

 

 

Pequot Lakes Events

July 3 & 4

STARS & STRIPES DAYS
July 3:
Celebrate America’s independence in Pequot Lakes at Stars & Stripes Days. Many activities and events are happening near Trailside Park beginning at 5:00 p.m. You’ll find food vendors, kids’ bungee trampoline and bounce house, beer garden, bean bag toss tournament, and live music. Be sure to stay for the fireworks show, which starts at 10:10 p.m.
July 4:
Begin the day with a pancake breakfast at 7:00 a.m. Activities are happening all day at Trailside Park: craft fair, kiddie parade, bed races, and Stars & Stripes parade events you don’t want to miss. Full event schedule
